We sometimes come across systems that run very inefficiently and so fail to achieve their potential energy savings. Normally this is either because of a bad design or a sub-standard installation, or sometimes both. In either case, TES has the expertise and capacity to identify the underlying problems and suggest solutions for upgrading part or all of the system in order to improve its efficiency. Often improving the efficiency will also improve the reliability and longevity as the equipment is less stressed when it is working as its manufacturer intended. We understand that with fossil fuel costs currently being as low as they are, it is even more important that a renewable system performs as well as possible.
Our engineers will carry out a range of analytical checks during their visit and can highlight any potential remedial action which should be done. We are happy to advise you on the likely the impact of any action, and will discuss and agree changes to be made before carrying out further work. In many instances, these changes can be straightforward such as the fine-tuning of the system settings.
From time-to-time more significant work, such as the replacement of a heat pump compressor or a biomass fuel-feed system, may be required. We only use the highest quality parts so that owners can be sure that their system has received the best care possible.
On the rare occasions where system replacement is more beneficial than a parts swap, TES has the expertise to carry this out too. We have access to experienced design teams, and our independence means that we can recommend the best option across a range of solutions from different manufacturers. We will only advise replacing a system if the long term benefit will be greater than that offered by remedial work.
